New Jersey governor Chris Christie has made no secret about the fact that he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, despite the fact that the majority of people that voted for him were New York Giants or Philadelphia Eagles fans and today his fandom will be on display at AT&T Stadium when he travels to Arlington to root on his boys.

Christie will be in Arlington as part of the fundraising trip for the Republican National Committee with his family, but he will take a brief stop to enjoy the Giants at Cowboys game.

“Maybe some other people can be disloyal, but I can’t. I’m for loyalty and I root for the Cowboys. And … when I am there on Sunday night, I will root for the Cowboys,” he said, via Mary-Ann Spoto of the Newark-Star Ledger .

Christie also believes that Dallas will be able to kick off the season in the win column with tonight’s Sunday Night Football match up against New York.

“If the Cowboys play like they’ve played the last four times at home against the Giants, all the Giants fans will be really happy,” Christie said.

They say that the Cowboys are America’s team, but while that may be up for debate, we do know that they are the team of the New Jersey governor. Sorry, Giants fans.
