The Baltimore Ravens had a bit of a scare in the second half of their match up against the Cleveland Browns when running back Ray Rice went down with a non-contact hip injury. You never like to see a player go down without content, but there is some good news about Rice’s injury.

After the game, the team informed the media that the injury is not serious.

From Jeff Zrebiecc of the Baltimore Sun:

There is no timetable for Rice’s return, but the Ravens and their fans have to be happy that there is currently no MRI scheduled. That is a clear sign that he could return sooner rather than later.

We should learn more about Rice’s injury in the coming days, but for now it looks like he will not be missing significant time. Baltimore has to be smiling.
