A non-contact injury for Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice delivered a bit of a scare for the team during their Sunday afternoon win over the AFC North division rival Cleveland Browns, but there appears to be some good news for the Ravens and their fan base as head coach Jim Harbaugh updated the media on Rice’s status.

Rice, who suffered a left hip flexor injury, did not undergo an MRI on Monday and he is officially being listed as day-to-day.

The news comes from Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun:

The Ravens have a tough match up against the Houston Texans in Week Three, but Harbaugh seemed optimistic that Rice would be able to suit up against one of the best defenses in the league. However, Rice is not expected to take part in the team’s practice this week.
