Well that was a fun weekend of an off-week for the 10-1, division leading Seattle Seahawks! They already knew about Brandon Browner’s injury, but now they are worried about more than that from him. Heck, with Browner’s impending suspension, he may not be back with the team.

While that was going on, it got even worse with the news that Browner’s replacement, Walter Thurmond, will now miss four games due to his own suspension. He’ll be back to rejoin the Legion of Boom for the Playoffs so it’s not the end of the world, but it’s not about that for the Seahawks. It’s now about having to deal with all of the hubbub and distraction that’s going to engulf the team now that these issues have been brought to light.

Meanwhile, San Francisco and Arizona are beginning to change their outlooks on what was, as close as a couple weeks ago, a failure of a season for each. The Cardinals are hot and the Niners are getting back their top target after simply throttling Washington on Monday.

Both are 7-4 and have each of their division rivals remaining on the schedule. Right now the teams are tied for the last Wildcard spot, one game below the 8-3 Carolina Panthers.

A lot is still to be decided, with Seattle playing New Orleans this upcoming Monday and then San Francisco the week after. It’s not over folks, the West is just beginning to get interesting.
