Former New England Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel is returning to the NFL. After spending some time in Columbus, Ohio as a member of Urban Meyer’s coaching staff with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Vrabel will be taking his talents to Houston, where he will be the linebackers coach for the Houston Texans.

In Houston, Vrabel will work under first-year head coach Bill O’Brien, who served as the Patriots offensive coordinator when Vrabel was a linebacker for the team.

It is also believed that O’Brien could be interested in bringing Romeo Crennel onto his staff. Crennel was also a member of the Patriots coaching staff and directly coached Vrabel when he was in New England.

New England found plenty of success when the three men were with the Patriots, so Texans fans can hope for the same result under their new leadership.
