The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks are squaring off in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday. It pits the Broncos top rated offense against the Seahawks top rated defense.
“It will be a great matchup,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said.
The Seahawks biggest challenge is stopping Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning who had a career best season. Manning set league records with 5,477 passing yards and 55 TDs, the best season a quarterback has ever had.
“Peyton’s been extraordinary,” Carroll said. “People couldn’t even dream to have the year that Peyton’s had before this season with all the numbers. We’re up against it.”
Manning was quick to praise the Seahawks defense as well.
“They are as good as advertised,” said Manning. “Probably one of the more impressive things is how well they play together as a unit.”
