The NBA offseason is still a few months out but for teams like the Los Angeles Lakers who are already out of things, the offseason is sort of starting now. With little hope of being anything but a lottery pick this summer, the team is looking to the upcoming free agent class and it has them eyeing a member of the Miami Heat.

LeBron James is possibly on the Lakers radar, but the team is eyeing another member in Chris Bosh. According to Sam Amico from FOX Sports, if James returns to Miami this summer, it’s likely that Bosh follows but the Los Angeles Lakers will try to change his mind.

Per Amico:

"It seems most GMs feel Bosh (and not Anthony) is the second biggest potential prize on the upcoming market. But if James goes back to the Heat, Bosh will, too. If not, the Lakers are secretly interested, sources said."

The Lakers won’t want to break the bank this offseason on someone as the 2015 free agent class is much more appealing to them, but a run at Bosh isn’t out of the question. Having someone there to help the Lakers contend in 2014-15 is a big selling tool for free agents that year and Bosh could very well be a guy that helps out.
