Colin Kaepernick is a lightning rod for controversy even though he hasn’t actually done much to deserve it.

Whether it’s his style of play or the way he dresses during press conferences, someone always seems to have something to say about him. Columnist Lowell Cohn wrote a pretty harsh column about Colin’s perceived salary demands in which wrote this:

"If Kaepernick doesn’t get that kind of dough, he says he’ll go back to kindergarten and knock over his blocks and hold his breath until he turns blue. Check that. I got carried away.He actually said, according to the Globe, he’ll play out the final year of his contract, base salary just south of one mil, and negotiate after next season instead of settling for what he considers a contract unworthy of his eminence.Someone should slap a Boston cream pie in Kaepernick’s smug face."

The whole column is pretty bad but I’ll let you judge that for yourself. I didn’t know it was cool to say someone should be slapped though. The interesting thing is that Colin’s mom weighed in:

In reality we are giving Cohn exactly what he wants by paying attention to his troll like column but sometimes you have to bring these things to light.
