The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are working hard to trade cornerback Darrelle Revis before the start of the free agency period later this afternoon, and at least two teams are emerging as serious contenders on the trade market.

The Cleveland Browns were reported as a possible destination earlier in the day, but now rumors are surfacing that the Oakland Raiders could become “strong players” in the Revis sweepstakes.

From Vic Tafur of San Francisco Chronicle:

In order to get Revis in a trade, it will require an aggressive owner and a lot of cap space.

With that in mind, it is no surprise that the Raiders are emerging as a contender to land one of the top defensive backs in the game.
