Buffalo Bills defensive back Jairus Byrd has been the star of this year’s Free Agency period as things begin to heat up. There have been a slew of teams that are said to be interested in his services, and it’s expected that he’ll receive a large sum of money in return. Not much could prevent that, well, except if there were some health concerns which Philadelphia Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane reports that some teams may actually have.

While he was only told this by one NFL executive directly, it’s fairly safe to assume that some others around the league are thinking this as well. It’s one of the biggest concerns in free agency, and rightfully so. If you’re going to break the bank for someone, you want to make sure they’re going to be as healthy as possible not just this year, but in the next few years to come.

Whether or not this will become an issue remains to be seen.
