The 24 year old safety was scheduled to meet with the Carolina Panthers on Monday, but was unable to walk away with a contract. Now he’ll be teaming up with former Carolina Panther Steve Smith in hopes of helping the team bring back the AFC North title and another Super Bowl to Baltimore.
Stewart appeared in 13 games with the St. Louis Rams last season but only started six games. In four years with the Rams, Stewart played in 53 games, recorded 147 combined tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception and one touchdown.
He could compete for a starting job with Baltimore but could end up providing them with some depth at his respected position.
