HIGH FIVE/low five

Daily Fantasy Basketball can be quite the grind!  Let us do the grinding for you with “High Five/Low Five”.  Each day, we help put you in the money by presenting you the “top-tier” plays, as well as a few “value plays”.  Chicago Bulls’ C Joakim Noah flies high as Monday’s top play.

Let’s rip it up.

Point Guard: Chris Paul, LAC ($9,600): There’s quite a bit to like about this matchup for Paul.  For starters, it seems likely that Blake Griffin will be out, which should mean that Paul takes on a larger share of the scoring load vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves. On top of that, it’s a matchup you can like whether Blake suits up or not, with Minnesota ranking in the bottom third of the league vs. PGs.  Value is a whopping 48 FPs for Paul, and while that might no be doable unless Blake is out, I definitely think we see him get 40-45 FPs.

If that’s too much for you to spend, both Mike Conley, MEM ($7,000) and Jeff Teague, ATL ($6,600) are in a plus matchup and fairly priced.

PG Value Plays: Ramon Sessions, MIL ($5,800), D.J. Augustin, CHI ($5,500) and Jerryd Bayless, BOS ($4,300)

Shooting Guard: Tyreke Evans, NO ($8,200): Evans scored over 50 FPs last time out vs. the Sacramento Kings, with a near triple-double.  Another great game should be in store this evening, as Sacramento is below average vs. each wing position.  Look for Evans to get going early, especially if Anthony Davis is out.  40 FPs seems like it could be the floor.

Also consider, Gordon Hayward, UTA ($6,900).

SG Value Play: Kyle Korver, ATL ($5,200)

Small Forward:  Josh Smith, DET ($7,700): Smith’s all-around game should allow him to contribute in a variety of ways vs. a banged up Milwaukee Bucks’ squad.  This contest also features one of the better point totals on the night, so it should be opportunities abound vs. a defense ranked just 23rd vs. SFs on the season.

SF Value Play: Matt Barnes, LAC ($5,400) and Jeff Adrien, MIL ($4,800).

Power Forward: Kevin Love, MIN ($10,800): This game figures to be one of the higher scoring on the night, and features a relatively close spread.  Those two factors alone should secure plenty of minutes and opportunity for Love.  In addition, the Clippers aren’t the best at defending the PF spot and only become worse with Blake Griffin out.  I like this matchup for Love either way, but especially if Blake is out.

Also consider, Zach Randolph, MEM ($7,000) and Paul Millsap, ATL ($7,400), both of whom have a great matchup and should easily provide value on their salaries.

PF Value Plays: Drew Gooden, WAS ($3,500) and John Henson, MIL ($5,100)

Center: Joakim Noah, CHI ($9,400): Recommended him here last night vs. the same Boston Celtics team, and he nearly went for a triple-double, scoring over 40 FPs.  So, why not again tonight at home ?  I expect a bigger game from Noah tonight and suspect a 45-50 FP game.

Also consider, DeMarcus Cousins, SAC ($10,300), for your tournament lineups.  He could go off without Anthony Davis in the lineup.

C Value Play: Jonas Valanciunas, TOR ($5,100) and Henry Sims, PHI ($5,400)

Thank you and good luck tonight !!!
