HIGH FIVE/low five

Daily Fantasy can be quite the grind!  Let us do the grinding for you with “High Five/Low Five”.  Each day, we help put you in the money by presenting you with FIVE “top-tier” plays, as well as some of the top “value plays”.  Los Angeles Lakers’ PF Jordan Hill flies high as Friday’s top play of the night.

Let’s rip it up.

HIGH FIVE:

Point Guard: Kyrie Irving, CLE ($8,000): There are a multitude of value plays at PG this evening, given injuries and some player’s prices.  For sure, there is some risk with Irving, in that his minutes could be limited.  However, that’s a situation that could cause him to not be highly owned, and with plenty of potential vs. a Atlanta Hawks defense that has given up the second most points to PGs over the past two weeks, it’s a move that could pay off big.

If you’re looking for something a little safer, I like Stephen Curry, GS ($8,900) vs. the Sacramento Kings.  Andrew Bogut and David Lee are out, with Andre Iguodala a game-time decision, which should force Curry to play a big game.  In addition, he’s had big games vs. the Kings this year.

Value Plays: Tons of potential value to be had at PG.  Give heavy consideration to each of these players: Reggie Jackson, OKC ($6,000), Jose Calderon, DAL ($5,100), Mario Chalmers, MIA ($5,000), Ray McCallum, SAC ($4,900) (contingent on Isaiah Thomas‘ status), Shaun Livingston, BKN ($4,700), Toney Douglas, MIA ($4,400),  and Greivis Vasquez, TOR ($4,100) (contingent on Kyle Lowry‘s status).

Shooting Guard: Tyreke Evans, NO ($7,900): Let’s make it clear that this play is dependent on Anthony Davis being out.  If Davis is out, Evans should be a great play vs. the Utah Jazz, who he put up nearly 55 FPs against just over a week ago.  If Davis plays, I probably play Monta Ellis, DAL ($7,400), who will be one of the higher owned players this evening when Dallas takes on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Also consider, James Harden, HOU ($9,700).  The Oklahoma City Thunder have been horrible vs. SGs recently, and Harden has been hot enough lately that he should go for about 45 FPs.

Value Plays: Nick Young, LAL ($5,300), Kent Bazemore, LAL ($5,000), Rodney Stuckey, DET ($4,400)

Small Forward: LeBron James, MIA ($10,000): With Kevin Durant‘s price so high, I feel LeBron is a better value, and has every chance to be the top scorer at SF in a matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves.  Minnesota has struggled vs. SF all season long, and this game should be competitive enough that LeBron gets his usual minutes in this plus matchup.  On top of that, Dwyane Wade is out.  Expect no less than 45 FPs from LeBron this evening.

Value Plays: Draymond Green, GS ($4,600), Wesley Johnson, LAL ($3,800)

Power Forward: LaMarcus Aldridge, POR ($9,400): 213 over/under, 4.5 point spread, nearly 45 FPs per game since his return, and playing against a defense that ranks just 27th vs. PFs over the last two weeks ? All for just $9,400 ?!?!? Yes, please !!!

Also consider, Dirk Nowitzki, DAL ($7,700), Serge Ibaka, OKC ($7,500), and Zach Randolph, MEM ($7,100).

Value Plays: Jordan Hill, LAL ($5,200), Tristan Thompson, CLE ($5,200), Cody Zeller, CHA ($3,600), Marreese Speights, GS ($3,500) and Drew Gooden, WAS ($3,500)

Center: DeMarcus Cousins, SAC ($10,100): The price tag is hefty, but so too should be his production vs. the Golden State Warriors, who are without just their best big bodies.

Also consider, Nikola Vucevic, ORL ($7,800), Andre Drummond, DET ($7,400)

Value Plays: Omer Asik, HOU ($4,600), Jermaine O’Neal, GS ($4,300), and Robert Sacre, LAL ($3,800)

Thank you and good luck !!!
