It’s been rough offseason for Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson, as the questions about his character ahead of the NFL Draft continue to make it look like he’ll tumble way down draft boards if not off them completely.

He got into hot water earlier in the offseason for walking off the field early during his Pro Day at Miami, essentially quitting on the scouts that were in attendance. If that wasn’t bad enough, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that teams have been informed Henderson failed a drug test at the combine, testing positive for marijuana.

This isn’t the worst offense in the world, but we’ve seen prospects flagged for much less and Henderson is giving teams way too many reasons to question his character. At a time in the NFL where Aldon Smith and Aaron Hernandez are making us all reevaluate the draft vetting process, Henderson’s character questions are detrimental to his future as an NFL player.

He didn’t conjure up a bomb scare and isn’t on trial for murder, but he’s still giving teams a reason to knock him down their boards and this latest red flag isn’t helping his cause.
