Jadeveon Clowney, for anyone who wasn’t aware by this point, was the first choice of the NFL draft last night, chosen by the Houston Texans. The crowd liked the choice a lot, and the idea of Clowney playing alongside JJ Watt has to be scary for opposing offenses.

Last night, Clowney was asked about dealing with the pressure of being the number one choice:

"I’m a humble guy. I’m very humble about this game, about playing. When people tell you you’re great, I’m like, man, I could be better. I always say that to myself. I could be better than what I’m doing or be better than what people say. I just want to do work, man…"

He puts a lot of pressure on himself as well:

"I set my expectations high for myself, for one thing, higher than what anybody expects me to do. So I’m just going to go in there and try to take care of my job and not worry. I know the media is going to ride me because I was the number one pick in the draft, and that’s something I’ll have to deal with through my season."

Clowney seems like he is going into the season with the proper attitude. We all know he has immense talent, if he keeps his head on straight, the sky is the limit.
