Count Stamper’s Grill Pub among the few Cleveland-area establishments that are not yet willing to climb on Johnny Manziel’s jock. For Stamper’s, it’s all about Brian Hoyer. Still.

A bold move by Stamper’s to not run with the Manziel pack. Hoyer is their man, and they’re sticking with him until the bitter end.

I have to give it up to Stamper’s. A lot of bars would cave in and jump on the Manziel bandwagon. Manziel is good for business, especially in Cleveland. But Stamper’s knows it’s about more than just what have you done for me lately. Loyalty matters.

And you know what else matters? Counter-marketing. I mean let’s face it, being the one bar in town that openly calls itself a Hoyer bar…that actually could be a good thing for business. It gets attention. And eventually, all the Hoyer fans will probably end up there.

You can probably fit all the Hoyer boosters in town into that one bar, that’s how huge Manziel hype is right now. But don’t tell that to the Browns, cause they still have Manziel as the #3 QB at OTAs.

The Browns aren’t yet ready to crown Manziel, and neither is Stamper’s Pub Grill. I wonder if Hoyer knows about that place. He’s basically a god there. Free booze Hoyer!
