Baltimore Ravens vs Washington Redskins

  1. Robert Griffin III continues to struggle this preseason.  At the beginning of the year many people thought that with Jay Gruden now in the picture, RG3 could have a nice bounce back season.  So far it’s not looking that way.  RG3 finished 5 0f 8 for 20 yards and an interception.  His offensive line looks like that of Eli Manning‘s. This is a definite cause for concern.
  2. All Washington receivers failed to showcase anything great.  Desean Jackson failed to log a single reception on two targets.  Pierre Garcon had two receptions for four yards.  Jordan Reed had one catch for seven yards.
  3. Steve Smith impressed last night.  It looks like the change of scenery lit a fire under Smith.  He finished with six receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown on seven targets.  If he continues to be targeted this heavily by Joe Flacco, Smith could have high WR3 numbers this season.
  4. The entire Ravens stable of backs looked bad as Bernard Pierce was taken in for a possible concussion.  The other backs remain irrelevant for now.
