New Orleans Saints vs Indianapolis Colts

  1. Drew Brees had a stellar performance on Saturday night, and is showing why he could very well be the top quarterback for this upcoming season.  Brees went 9 of 15 for 128 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
  2. Pierre Thomas saw five targets out of the backfield,  grabbing four of them for 66 yards.  He will take on the role of Darren Sproles in this offense, and could have a huge year in PPR formats.  He will see enough touches to be fantasy relevant even in non-PPR formats.
  3. Mark Ingram continues to impress this preseason.  Ingram finished with eight carries for 46 yards.  He looks to be a viable option if he can stay consistent in the regular season. Maybe the contract year did wake him up.
  4. Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, and Trent Richardson all had bad performances.  All three failed to do much of anything with Richardson looking the worst of the three.  Richardson averaged just 2.8 yards per carry ending with 17 yards on six carries.  The Colts offense has a lot of growing to do in the next two weeks.
