2. DeMarco Murray, RB, Dallas Cowboys

DeMarco Murray has been running rampant here in 2014.

The absence of Adrian Peterson from the NFL combined with Jamaal Charles injuries and LeSean McCoy’s banged up offensive line have allowed Murray to be the NFL’s leading rusher through the first four weeks of the season, and by a large margin.

Murray has 156 more rushing yards than No. 2 Le’Veon Bell, and his five rushing scores are an NFL best, with a handful of other backs placing second with three.

The fourth-year running back’s play has allowed the Dallas Cowboys to stay on pace with the Eagles at 3-1 in the NFC East, with the ‘Boys running off three consecutive wins.

Murray has rushed for more than 100 yards and scored in every game so far, and he’s looking like a top MVP candidate one quarter of the way through the season.
