The regular season has not gone well for the Carolina Hurricanes as they are still in search of their first win of the season at 0-6-2 with a league-worst two points, but at least their minor league affiliate is able to relax and get in the Halloween spirit and have some fun.

Halloween is not just for the kids trick or treating around the neighborhood knocking on doors and ringing doorbells in search for king size Snickers bars, because it is just as much fun for the adults who get to let their guard down and dress up as their favorite superhero for a day.

And that’s exactly what Collin Olson and his Musketeerk’s teammate did when they dressed as Batman and the Joker.

I would like to see this in an actual NHL or even in the USHL and have the goalies decked out in Halloween costumes. Sure, we get goalies with decorative and creative helmet designs, but let’s take it one step further and go the full nine yards and wear the whole costume.

If my five-year-old cousin can walk around his house in his Batman costume all year round, then surely exceptions can be made and we can Halloween on the ice this year.
