Lee Corso is set to hit a milestone as he reveals his 250th College GameDay headgear pick on Saturday in Morgantown.

College GameDay started out as somewhat of an adventure for ESPN. Putting a team of reporters on site at college stadiums across the country to highlight a specific matchup hadn’t been done on a weekly basis. Now, 249 mascot heads later, Lee Corso is about to hit a milestone.

On Saturday, College GameDay heads to Morgantown for a showdown between the TCU Horned Frogs and the West Virginia Moutaineers. The No. 20 Mountaineers will have another stiff test with No. 7-ranked Horned Frogs heading into town.

On set, Lee Corse will don his 250th headgear as he picks the winner in the pivotal matchup.

Gearing up for the event, College GameDay has decided to share all of the previous headsets worn in GIF format:

Whether Corso gets the pick right on a weekly basis is relatively irrelevant. He hears such a resounding noise from the fans around the set as he either snubs or delights the hometown crowds. The mascot head has become something that college football fans around the country look forward to each Saturday.

The set will be joined by country music star Brad Paisley as the guest picker.
