New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski zealously finished a block against Sergio Brown of the Indianapolis Colts that drew a flag and a number of admiring fans in the process.

For all the credit Rob Gronkowski gets as a pass-catching tight end, he really is one of the most best blockers in the league as well, as evidenced by this crushing block which may or may not have sent this Colts defender into an early retirement. At the very least, he’ll be on posters and vines throughout social media for a day or two.

The blockee in question in Sergio Brown, who fortunately did survive this incident. Gronk, however, didn’t leave the play without a flag, but he didn’t really seem to care and it certainly didn’t affect the game’s outcome. As Olaf Sanderson would say after slashing Adam Banks, “Well worth it.”

It’s also fair to assume that Gronkowski screamed ‘GRONK BLOCK’ as he drove Brown into the woods. If he doesn’t shout that on every running play, then everything we know is dull and lusterless.

This Gronk Block is a pretty indicative of how the whole game went for the Indianapolis Colts, who were smashed at home by the Patriots in a Week 11 loss.
