#1. Boston Sidecar

This twist on the classic Sidecar cocktail uses rum along with the brandy and lime juice instead of lemon, which makes it a nice little cross between a Daiquiri and a Sidecar. New England has a storied history with rum. In fact, when our country was just being settled, rum was the biggest export coming out of New England, which makes the liquor a vital part of American history.

It’s also a nice sour drink that’s fun to make and easy to remember. So you can still keep making them even if you’ve already had a few!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 ounce light rum
  • 3/4 ounce brandy
  • 3/4 ounce triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Also works on the rocks if you don’t have a cocktail shaker.
