NBC have reported that there is a crazy snowstorm heading for New England which is putting the parade in serious doubt due to the fact that the players might not get back in time. The parade could be delayed but no one in the New England Patriots’ PR camp or any city officials are willing to confirm or deny reports. The issue was raised before the game, as the snowstorm has been expected for days.
“After the game, we can address logistical questions,” vice president of media relations Stacey James said before the game.
The Patriots’ people weren’t the only ones that were keeping their lips sealed over the matter, as city officials were also reluctant to give details.
“We don’t have a plan right now,” Boston’s Chief Communications officer Laura Oggeri said.
People in New England will be eagerly awaiting more details about the parade which should be coming out this evening at sometime, but we in the media are playing the waiting game too.
Patriots’ fans have a lot to celebrate after they saw their team win one of the most exciting Super Bowls in NFL history, with an incredible nail biting finish. I’m sure the players and coaches will be just as excited to celebrate in Boston, it was an amazing game and a great victory which saw the Patriots come from behind and then hold on for the win.
Some fans at home are expecting the parade for tomorrow and some have been saying it’s a bad idea to have it tomorrow.
ESPN Boston have just confirmed that the parade is set for Tuesday at 11am.
With the parade being held tomorrow morning, mixed with a storm tonight- traffic will be tasty all Tuesday morning.
