The Jacksonville Jaguars are interested in trading the No. 3 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft is almost here, know what that means? Trade speculation season has arrived and one of the teams in the league that’s going to have a lot of offers for their pick is the Jacksonville Jaguars.

More from Jacksonville Jaguars

After the Jaguars made sure that they got their franchise quarterback, Blake Bortles, in last years draft, this year the Jaguars realize that they are more open to making moves to fill out their roster.

Because the Jaguars have the No. 3 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, they are keeping their options open and are listening to offers for their draft pick.

In an interview with Conor Orr of Around the NFL, Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said this:

"“We had no margin for error these last two years,” Caldwell said. “I think this year we could be more open.”"

The Jaguars understand that during this process they are going to make sure they have a lot of patience. A lot of teams operate differently, so the Jaguars know that they’ll be receiving phone calls as early as today, and phone calls as late as right before they attempt to make their selection.

For a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars who doesn’t have a history of winning, this pick could provide their team with the necessary ability to bring in quality players to their organization to help them compete. The Jaguars are getting better and more competitive, but they need more talent if they want to become a winning franchise, and that’s where their draft pick comes in handy.

A few years ago the St.Louis Rams held the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft and the Rams traded the pick to the Washington Redskins for three first round picks, and a second round pick.

The Rams got a number of players including Janoris Jenkins, Greg Robinson, Ale Ogletree, and Michael Brockers, each of which have made an impact for their franchise.

We may or may not see a similar situation occur because in this draft there are two quarterbacks that everyone values above everyone else, Florida State’s Jameis Winston, and Oregon’s Marcus Mariota.

It’s been said that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in trading up for Mariota so head coach, Chip Kelly, can use the fast Oregon signal caller in his fast tempo system. Since Mariota comes from Oregon, the place where Kelly worked before coaching the Eagles, the two can mesh well together.

Could the Jaguars be waiting for the Eagles call? We’ll have to wait and see.

For now, let the trade speculation begin.
