Jose Mourinho has said that if Petr Cech wants to leave Chelsea this summer, it will be for a massive transfer fee.
After 10 years of being Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper, Petr Cech has found himself warming the bench this season after Thibaut Courtois returned from his impressive loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Unsurprisingly, questions about the Czech goalkeeper’s future at the club are beginning to be asked. Thibaut Courtois, 22, has become Mourinho’s new first-choice goalkeeper, and is impressing between the sticks in his debut season for The Blues.
At 32-years-old, Cech still has a significant shelf life, and is reported to be unwilling to sit on the bench and play second fiddle for another season.
Mourinho has announced that he will not stand in Cech’s way if he wants to leave the club in the summer, but has stated that a massive transfer fee will be required to secure the services of the Czech international.
“If he tells me he wants to leave, I will tell him my opinion and my opinion is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world. Huge money,” said Mourinho, via FOX Sports.
“I will just wait. I would like him very much to stay. I don’t waste my time trying to persuade him, because I know nobody can persuade him.”
Chelsea have already lifted their first trophy of the season, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday to win the Capital One Cup, and are still in the Champions League last 16 after a tough 1-1 first-leg draw with PSG in the Parc des Princes.
They currently are sitting in first place in the English Premier League, five points ahead of Manchester City with one game in hand.
