Derrick Rose: “I’m built for this sh-t”
By Tim Mack
Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose is hungry to avenge a Game 4 loss, and he’s not afraid to let Milwaukee know he’s coming for them.
Game 4 of the Bulls vs. Bucks playoff series came down the wire last night. With a tied score of 90-90 the Bulls had one last shot to win the game and move on to the next round of the NBA playoffs. With about 15 seconds left the Bulls ran an isolation play for Rose, clearing the court in the hopes that he would seal the win and the series.
Rose drove to the basket, crossed-over into the key, and committed a crucial turnover that led to a Bucks timeout with about one second left. The Bucks were able to win the game by way of a last second lay-up by Jerryd Bayless thanks to botched defense by Rose. Bucks players and fans reacted by celebrating as if they had just won the NBA Finals.
It was the kind of finish that would demoralize even the most talented of players. But not Rose.

In an interview after the game Rose was not his usual shy self when describing how ready he is for the remainder of the series against the Bucks and the upcoming series against the Cavaliers.
It certainly is a bold statement but one Rose can easily back up with his play and achievements. Sure he may not have been able to put the Bucks away last night but the 2011 League MVP is not going to let that shake his confidence.
Every player has less than ideal games and to be a successful sports superstar you need to acknowledge that. Not every game is going to be your best and if you get too hung up on your failures you will never be able to move on from them.
Rose knows what he is capable of. The fans know what he is capable of. And now he’s making sure everyone knows what he is capable of. If this latest victory over the Bulls causes the Bucks to forget what Rose can do then they are in for a world of trouble when they meet again tomorrow at the United Center.
