Dee Gordon and Giancarlo Stanton are superheroes (Video)

Who would you rather be, the MLB player possessing the superhero power of super strength and slugging homers with ease OR the MLB player possessing the superhero power of super speed and swiping bases with ease?
To start a debate, simply ask a room full of baseball fans one question: Do MLB players, especially the ones who get their fair share of the spotlight, automatically double as role models? Why so serious?
Sometimes we forget that baseball is just a game. With pitchers cheating to find ways to grip the baseball better and the last true link to the steroid era, Alex Rodriguez, breaking some of baseball’s most treasured records, wouldn’t it be nice to have a superhero?
Flash Gordon Jr., aka Dee Gordon of the Miami Marlins, wishes to add super strength to his super speed. Does it shock anybody Gordon wants to be as strong as Giancarlo Stanton? I think he indirectly related The Hulk with Stanton. I totally see it!
I bet you if more reporters were to ask more MLB players what superpower they wish they could add that there would be a theme. Power over speed!
As of this writing, there are 26 players in MLB with 10 or more homers. Stanton sits sixth overall with 13. There is exactly half as many players boasting ten or more stolen bases.
Flash
Dee Gordon leads the league with 20.
You see more replays of homers than you do stolen bases. I say bring on the muscles!
