A look at the results from the Chamber match for the vacated Intercontinental Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber 2015.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 offered the perfect opportunity to find a superstar to hold the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship by putting six of the top competitors in the company in the Chamber.

Sheamus, King Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Ryback, and Rusev were supposed to be the six competitors. However, a fractured foot forced Rusev out of action and the match, which created a vacant spot for a returning Mark Henry in his home state.

Barrett and Ziggler started the match and went back-and-forth at the opening bell. Barrett then got on the offensive and wouldn’t let up on Ziggler.

Ziggler wasn’t pinned before R-Truth was first out of his pod, which caught Barrett’s attention. King Barrett then beat Truth back into his pod and laid him out quickly.

Barrett then turned his attention back to Ziggler, simply beating on him more. However, that change in focus allowed Turth to rebound and get the upper hand on Barrett for a brief moment. That moment ended when Barrett hit Truth with the Winds of Change and then hit Ziggler with a big kick.

Mark Henry was unexpectedly unleashed next, as Barrett threw Ziggler into the plexiglass of his pod and knocked it out.

After Henry came out and grounded Barrett, Ryback was officially the next wrestler let out of his pod and took the offensive on everyone in the match.

Barrett went back to dominating the match, but was eliminated when Truth hit him with the Lie Detector and pinned him.

Sheamus was supposed to be next out, but the officals couldn’t get his pod door open, leaving him stuck.

That led to a hot run of offense by Ryback, including next eliminating Truth with a Shell Shocked and a pin. Ryback’s run was stifled by a Meathook Clothesline attempt that was countered with a superkick by Ziggler.

With all three guys down, Sheamus finally broke out of his pod. He cockily stood tall and stomped on his fellow competitors, but Henry met him with power that slowed Sheamus down. It only slowed him briefly, though, as Sheamus raked Henry’s eyes and created enough room to hit a Brogue Kick and get the pin to eliminate Henry.

Sheamus then turned to Ziggler, but Ziggler fought back and seemed to be gaining control. However, Sheamus shook off a Fame-Asser from Ziggler and hit him with another Brogue Kick for a pin that left Sheamus and Ryback as the last two standing.

Ryback got on the offensive, but Sheamus fled the ring to avoid the Meathook and got Ryback where he wanted him. He then hit White Noise on the steel grate outside the ring, but Ryback kicked out on the pin attempt back inside the ropes.

Sheamus then tried to go for the Brogue Kick on the outside, but Ryback countered with a powerbomb back into the ring. That allowed Ryback to hit Shell Shocked on Sheamus and get the three-count to make him the new WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Daniel Bryan then entered the ring to give Ryback the rub for the crowd and to hand over the belt. Ryback graciously accepted, thanking Bryan and calling him an inspiration.
