The NBA Finals start on Thursday after a week-long basketball hiatus and the Bay Area is ready to see their Warriors go.

The NBA has been on hold for a week awaiting the start of the 2015 NBA Finals that will pit the Golden State Warriors against the Cleveland Cavaliers. During the hiatus, basketball fans have only grown more restless and gotten more stir-crazy waiting for their beloved NBA to return.

With Game 1 heading for ORACLE Arena in Oakland, though, there may be no place in the world more ready for the return of the NBA than the Bay Area. If you need any evidence of that, here is what a traffic alert sign in San Francisco read this morning:

What I would give to find out what the thought process was behind putting that on the sign and then ultimately thinking that ending “boy” with five Es was the right decision.

It’s pretty apparent that Warriors fans are chomping at the bit to see the league’s MVP in Stephen Curry and the rest of their team take the floor to try and bring the organization their first title since 1975.

What may be more exciting than the Finals starting on Thursday, though, is the couple of days prior to game one and waiting to see if Warriors or Cavs fans do anything crazier in the next couple of days.
