Cleveland Cavaliers’ Iman Shumpert drops track for First Take.

Today Gucci Mane dropped Breakfast and I thought that would be the only thing bumpin in my headphones today. I was wrong, Iman Shumpert of the Cleveland Cavaliers laid down a track for First Take’s Stephen A and Co.

To be sure, Shumpert has bars. His flow doesn’t make me cringe like other previous NBA players that have tried their hand at hip-hop. If your interested in hearing more you can check out Iman Shumpert’s mixtape Th3 Post90s, which he put out while he was with the Knicks in 2012.

Of course it is all good and well, but I still have to be on team Damian Lillard for best rapper in the NBA. The flow that he dropped on Sway three months ago was fire. He has also made Instagram videos for four-bar Friday.

Most players shouldn’t bother, but Shumpert and Lillard aren’t too bad.

That being said, I wonder what they would sound like together on a track? This would probably never happen unless they were on the same team. If they did maybe Oak Boys, because Shumpert is from Oak Park, IL and Lillard is from Oakland, CA. They could also sign to French Montana’s label Coke Boys Records.

The partnership would be a rough sell because of the record labels name and the basketball players’ public image, but this is my fictitious hip hop world.
