Golden State Warriors championship parade route and details

The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions, and they’re going to return home and celebrate the win with fans in Oakland by the end of the week. 

Now that the Golden State Warriors are NBA champions, the next question centers on where they will be celebrating and when you can join in on the fun. One of the best parts about a team winning a title is seeing the fans celebrate with the players, and that’s what makes championship parades the spectacles they are.

What makes the parades even better are when teams who haven’t won titles in a long time get to partake in the celebrating. That’s the case for the Golden State Warriors, as it’s been 40 years since their last parade but the wait will soon be over.

According to the NBA, the Warriors NBA Finals parade will be held on Friday and take them through the hear of town.

"The Golden State Warriors and the City of Oakland will host a parade and rally to honor the 2014-15 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors on Friday, June 19, 2015, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade will begin on Broadway at 11th Street, turning right on Grand Avenue, and right on Harrison to Lakeside Drive, ending on Oak and proceeding to the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center for the Rally."

Here’s a closer look at the parade route and where the Warriors will travel with their newly earned Larry O’Brien trophy.

A lot has changed since 1975, which was the last time the Warriors had a championship parade but fans will be lining the streets of Oakland to celebrate with their team.

Warriors fans love their players and the players love the fans, and this is a championship parade that will be fun to watch.
