Steph Curry has his SportsCenter chicken commercial come to life (Video)

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is enjoying the offseason after leading his team to an NBA Finals win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. That includes poking a little bit of fun at himself in the process and making basketball fans everywhere laugh out loud.

The Warriors tweeted out a video of Curry in the cafeteria line at his basketball camp in Pebble Beach. He asks the staff what they’re serving, which turns out to be chicken curry, which presents a magical moment.

For those who don’t get the reference, it is a tribute to his SportsCenter commercial. He praises the cafeteria staff for showing him love by serving chicken curry after a big game the night before, the joke being that the staff did so unintentionally and that they have no idea who Curry is.

The best part between the real life instance and the commercial is Curry delivering the same line, “I lace them up every night for guys like you.”
