Ben Roethlisberger could be making his return this week against the Bengals

When a team loses their franchise quarterback to injury, the better ones tend to not miss a beat. It’s been about four weeks that the Steelers have been trying to do their best without Ben Roethlisberger under center, and all considering, they kept the team moving in the right direction as he was recuperating.

The Steelers went on to go 2-2 in his absence to post a 4-3 record so far this season and are set to face the Bengals this Sunday, who have yet to lose a game on the year. To be the best, you have to beat the best, especially when it comes in the AFC North.

As per Adam Schefter, here’s the latest injury status on Big Ben heading into this huge Week 8 matchup:

After suffering a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week to the tune of 23-13, this news couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s no secret that Roethlisberger is the main catalyst on a Steelers’ offense that, in his absence, couldn’t post more than 25 points per game.

With him back under center, it will give the Steelers a much-needed boost offensively as they go back to work to make sure the team is headed in the right direction. He gives them the best chance to win and will definitely be coming back with much to prove in front of the home crowd in Heinz Field.

So far this season, Roethisberger has totaled 915 yards on 67 completions for four touchdowns and two interceptions.
