During last night’s Cowboys-Eagles game, a Dallas fan knocked out a Philadelphia fan after the two got into an argument.

The Dallas Cowboys dropped their sixth straight game with a loss to their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys desperately needed a victory in order to stay alive in the playoff race, but could not stop Philadelphia’s fast-paced offense and crumbled in overtime 33-27.

The NFC East division title is in striking distance for all four teams, making Sunday night’s contest between the two rivals that much more important. It was a physical battle between the Cowboys and Eagles not only on the field, but also in the stands.

During the Cowboys-Eagles game, a verbal conflict between one Dallas fan and one Eagles fan turned physical after the Dallas fan punched the Eagles fan in the jaw, knocking him out.

The Dallas fan was immediately confronted and taken away by a group of security guards, who were conveniently nearby when the incident took place.

This is not the first physical altercation between fans of NFC East teams this season.  After a Monday night game in October, an Eagles fan knocked out a New York Giants fan.

The Dallas Cowboys have struggled ever since franchise quarterback Tony Romo went down with a broken left collarbone after he was hit by Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks in Week 2.  Replacement quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel have not filled the void the Romo left.

The Cowboys rank 23rd in passing yards and 25th in the league in passing touchdowns.  Their quarterbacks have thrown a combined 10 touchdowns, which is the 10th highest in the league.
