Warriors center Andrew Bogut showed off some guard-like skills against the Grizzlies

Andrew Bogut had missed six of the Golden State Warriors’ first eight games of the 2015-16 NBA season coming into their Wednesday night matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors didn’t feel his absence too greatly as they still had yet to lose a game coming into the contest versus the Grizzlies. However, Bogut apparently added some perimeter skills to his arsenal.

With time winding down at the end of the first quarter against Memphis, Bogut had the ball on the perimeter trying to set up one of his teammates. When nothing opened up, the big man took matters into his own hands as he put the ball on the floor and then put up a step-back jumper. It was buckets, just like we all thought it would be:

Stephen Curry must have been working with the big center on those moves. If even Bogut starts raining down triples for this Warriors team, the rest of the league should just go ahead and forfeit the next five seasons.

In fairness, I doubt that Bogut taking step-back jump shots is going to become a staple of the Golden State offense. However, a man of his size doing things normally reserved for a guard or wing player is essentially the basketball equivalent of the fat-guy touchdown in football. Subsequently, we should all cherish what we witnessed on Wednesday night.
