Remember when you were in high school, and you had a crush? Maybe that person flirted with you for a bit and then decided to go out with the captain of the football team, her on-again, off-again boyfriend? The city of Dallas sure does, and it is bitter.

This summer, the Dallas Mavericks thought they landed center DeAndre Jordan in free agency, only to have him turn his back on the deal and re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has publicly slammed Jordan on multiple occasions, and now a Dallas newspaper is getting in on the act. The Dallas Morning News provided this lovely bit of journalism on its front page, in anticipation for the Mavericks hosting the Clippers, per Bleacher Report.

At what point does Dallas move on? Look, it is funny to make some jokes at the expense of Jordan. He was all set and ready to leave for the Mavericks, only to watch Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Doc Rivers and others have to go down to Dallas and drag him back to Los Angeles. Only in the National Basketball Association does that happen. Can you imagine that happening in hockey or football? No, because those scenarios would be asinine.

Somehow, it seems perfectly normal in the NBA.
