There are only three games between Thursday and Friday this week. You can tell baseball season is over! There aren’t as many good options as on a weekend, but there are enough hiding in here to place you in the big tournaments. Who are they? Let’s take a look!

Here are my FanDuel College Football Picks For November 12-13:

Next: Who Will Put Up Big Numbers At QB?

Oct 31, 2015; Berkeley, CA, USA; Southern California Trojans quarterback Cody Kessler (6) prepares to throw a pass against the California Golden Bears in the second quarter at Memorial Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Quarterback:

Best Bet:

Cody Kessler, USC ($8,100): Colorado’s pass defense is not terrible, but on a slate that lacks any truly elite options, Kessler is the best of them because of the talent around him. He is the closest to a sure thing in this tournament, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone outscores him. Choosing the one that will is the tricky part.

Honorable Mention:

Sefo Liufau, Colorado ($7,500): USC has the 96th ranked pass defense, but they have also picked off 11 passes. That makes Liufau and his 9:6 TD to INT ratio a pretty sizeable risk. Still, he is more certain than the revolving door at Louisiana-Lafayette or the uncertainty at South Alabama.

Dark Horse:

Michael Brewer, Virginia Tech ($6,500): His time splitting snaps with Brenden Motley should be about over. He dazzled against Duke and had a respectable game against Boston College. That said, Georgia Tech has the 28th ranked pass defense, so the yards will be harder to come by for Brewer.

My pick: Liufau

Next: Who Are The Best RB's?

Oct 31, 2015; Boston, MA, USA; Virginia Tech Hokies running back Travon McMillian (34) carries the ball during the second half against the Boston College Eagles at Alumni Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Running Back:

Best Bets:

Travon McMillan, Virginia Tech ($7,600): If you are nervous because Georgia Tech has a decent run defense, don’t be. McMillan went for over 100 yards on the best defense in the country (Boston College) last week. You have nothing to worry about here. McMillan is a must-play at this point.

Ronald Jones, USC ($7,200): Jones is the unquestioned lead back for the Trojans after a huge performance against Arizona last week. He has to be salivating at the prospect of carving up Colorado’s 111th ranked run defense. Jones could have a huge day, and is likely the safest play at any position in this tournament.

Honorable Mention:

Elijah McGuire, Louisiana-Lafayette ($7,900): McGuire has a ridiculous 24 point average in FanDuel this year. So why am I not so high on him? He has failed to top the 100 yard mark in three straight games. However, he heads to Mobile to take on South Alabama’s 115th ranked run defense. McGuire carved up Texas State for 170 yards a month ago. He could come close to that number here.

Xavier Johnson, South Alabama ($6,700): Johnson has only had 18 carries in the past two games, but he has taken those 18 carries for 241 yards! He should be back to more of a workload against Lafayette and their 82nd ranked run defense.

Dark Horse:

Patrick Carr, Colorado ($4,500): The running back situation at Colorado is maddening for fantasy players. The Buffaloes routinely use five running backs, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who carries when. That said, the absence of Michael Adkins and the ineffectiveness of Phillip Lindsay could leave more carries for the freshman Carr. He will still fight Sefo Liufau and Donovan Lee for carries, but the situation isn’t nearly as muddled as usual, and Carr has the most burst. That could land him extra carries.

My picks: McMillian and Jones

Next: Is There A Better Option Than JuJu Smith?

Nov 1, 2014; Boulder, CO, USA; Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Nelson Spruce (22) runs a route in the second quarter against the Washington Huskies at Folsom Field. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Wide Receiver:

Best Bets:

Nelson Spruce, Colorado ($6,500): Spruce doesn’t have to worry about all of the interceptions that his quarterback might throw. He will likely be the most targeted receiver in this game on either side of the ball, and USC has a propensity for leaving people open. This could be a big game for Spruce. It will need to be for the Ralphies to stay within shouting distance.

Isaiah Ford, Virginia Tech ($5,800): Ford wasn’t a big factor against Boston College last week, but hey, few are. He was having a big October after the return of Michael Brewer. Expect the production to continue against Georgia Tech.

Honorable Mention:

JuJu Smith, USC ($8,400): The only reason that Smith isn’t my top guy is because this is a game that could become a blowout. If USC wants to win the Pac 12, and they do, they need to keep Smith as healthy as possible. They won’t use him if they don’t absolutely need him later in the game. There is still the possibility of him putting up big numbers before he exits though.

Clinton Lynch, Georgia Tech ($6,500): Lynch is less of a risk than other Georgia Tech receivers because he gets carries out of the backfield as well. He had a monster game against Virginia. The Hokies have a little better defense, but look for the Yellow Jackets to try and get him the ball in space again.

Dark Horses:

Ricky Jeune, Georgia Tech ($5,100): The Yellow Jackets have been forced to throw a lot more than they like a few times this month. Another one of those is likely coming against the Hokies. That is okay for Jeune. He is a good receiver on a running team. He isn’t as talented as Calvin Johnson was at GT, but he has done a good job as their downfield threat.

Adoree’ Jackson, USC ($5,300): Jackson is one of the few two-way players in college football this century. He has the potential for a bigger day if Smith re-aggravates his injury or just needs rest. Of course, it is entirely possible that Smith has a huge game and doesn’t leave the field. Therein lies the risk.

My picks: Spruce, Lynch, and Ford

Next: Can You Save Money At TE?

Oct 3, 2015; Blacksburg, VA, USA; Virginia Tech Hokies tight end Bucky Hodges (7) runs the ball after a catch against Pittsburgh Panthers defensive back Dennis Briggs (20) during the second quarter at Lane Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Peter Casey-USA TODAY Sports

Tight End:

Best Bet:

Bucky Hodges, Virginia Tech ($3,900): Hodges was a monster against Duke in Brewer’s first game back. He still had three catches against a really good Boston College defense, so Hodges is back to being a big part of the offense with Brewer back under center. He is a low-risk play right now.

Honorable Mention:

Gerald Everett, South Alabama ($4,400): The price tag is a bit of a turn off since he is largely touchdown dependent. That said, Everett has at least ten FanDuel points in every game this year except for against Nebraska. He has also scored in every game but that one, so he is still a really good option.

Dark Horse:

Ryan Malleck, Virginia Tech ($3,000): Malleck was dreadful against Boston College, but so was anyone not named Travon. If you take that game out of there, Malleck has caught at least two passes in every game this year except for Purdue. His catch against the Boilers did go for 40 yards though, so he still got the points. If you need to go cheap, he is a suitable option.

My pick: Hodges
