A child with leukemia was so grateful that Tom Brady played football with him, that he made him a thank you card and gave the millionaire $10.

Kids do awesome things sometimes. A child name Gabriel, who is a part of the Make A Wish Foundation, had the chance to play football with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. He also got to meet up with Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft, and tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Gabriel, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia, has started a movement, largely based on Facbook, titled “Gabriel’s Day of Kindness.” The movement was to promote a pay-it-forward initiative, encouraging people to perform acts of kindness on November 3rd and beyond.

Wanting to tell Brady about the event, Gabriel created a thank-you card for Brady, telling him about the event and thanking him for taking the time to play with him. Gabriel had been given $10 earlier in the week from someone as a gift, but decided to pay it forward to Brady, leaving him with the $10. Of course, Brady doesn’t need the money, making a salary of around $9 million, but all Gabriel knew was that he wanted to show some gratitude to the pro quarterback.

Brady, stuck in an interesting situation, kept the $10, because Gabriel would have been crushed to see his movement of kindness turned down by one of his role models. In retrospect, Brady was probably right to take the money instead of turning it down.

Hopefully Brady used the $10 to pay it forward elsewhere. Maybe he even donated back to a cause helping kids like Gabriel.
