New Orleans Saints vs. Washington Redskins

Though neither team’s season would theoretically be over with a loss, the matchup at FedEx Field in Week 10 of the 2015 NFL seas between the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Redskins. Drew Brees, Mark Ingram, and the rest of Sean Payton’s Saints will be looking to get back to .500 on the season by picking up a potentially enormous win over the Redskins. The Redskins have possibilities of their own as Kirk Cousins, Jordan Reed, and the Washington offense will all be battling to keep their chances in the NFC East alive and to continue garnering a stunning season—even if they’re no real viable contender in the division.

Keys to Victory

There’s absolutely no question that the key for both of these teams in this game is going to be who scores the most. Obviously that’s a simple statement that is the object of any NFL game that’s ever been played. However, I mean that in the sense that this game is going to be a shootout and the winner is going to be whoever can either pick up a defensive stop first or whoever can find a way to not slow down on offense.

For the Saints, their offense is going to essentially rely on Drew Brees continuing what he’s been doing in the passing game tearing opponents to shreds while New Orleans could also use a solid game from Mark Ingram. As for the Redskins, they’ll need to step it up and produce possibly better than they have in almost every game this season. Kirk Cousins will have to take advantage of a weak Saints defense, spread the ball around to his wide receivers and tight ends, and ultimately become a playmaker in this game if he wants his Washington team to be on top at the end of the contest.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Washinton Redskins -1
Moneyline: Washington Redskins 100, New Orleans Saints -110
O/U: 50.5

Prediction

This game has major shootout potential with two offenses that are loaded with weapons are going against each other’s dfeenses, which should spell bad news for the Redskins. In the end, I’m putting my faith in Drew Brees and the Saints rather than Kirk Cousins. That just seems like the wiser move.

Final Score: New Orleans Saints: 37, Washington Redskins: 33
