dallas cowboys. 27. team. 123.
The Dallas Cowboys aren’t going to make a miraculous run towards the postseason after all. Quarterback Tony Romo was brought back arguably too soon and rebroke his clavicle and will miss the remainder of the season.

At 3-8 the Cowboys would do better to just tank and try and remain in the top of the draft order to get a high draft pick to select an impact player, perhaps on the defensive side of the ball given all the talent in the draft.

The Cowboys play the Washington Redskins on the road on Monday Night Football and it probably wouldn’t have helped their ranking much this season. The Redskins have been formidable at home, losing just one out of six games there this season. That home record and the Cowboys’ injuries spell doom for Dallas in this game.

Even if by some miracle the Cowboys were to win on Monday Night Football, it wouldn’t be enough to shake up these power rankings. The Cowboys aren’t going to be making a late season push in the weak NFC East with Matt Cassel under center, and quite frankly, would be wise not to.

Still, they have to play the games and let’s see what happens on Monday night.
.
