How to bet the Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins.

For decades, the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins have done battle inside the NFC East. Both teams have brought excellence to the field and have had games that featured some of the greatest players to ever take the gridiron. Tonight, it’s a different story but a similar one, as two struggling teams fight for their playoff odds inside the NFC East.

While the Redskins haven’t been great this season, they are still in first in the NFC East and could very well win the division potentially with a .500 record or worse. The Dallas Cowboys are in such a strange position, because they are in line for a potential top-5 pick, yet are still firmly in their division race. The Redskins despite having a more healthy team and their starting quarterback are a one-and-a-half point favorite, simply because the NFC East is so up and down this season. The OVER/UNDER has been placed at 43 according to OddsShark.

The Cowboys even though they are underdogs, are close underdogs because it wouldn’t be all that shocking if they won. Yes they have Matt Cassel at quarterback, but they still have the likes of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. They also have a defense that did a fairly good job against Carolina, as most of the points Carolina scored, came off Tony Romo turnovers.

The Redskins although favorites, aren’t big favorites simply because they could be up last week, but just as easily down this week. Things have been better for the team lately, but division games are always close and it’s hard to justify a really big spread in this game between two proud franchises.

As for trends, the Redskins have been a fairly safe bet at home this season. The team is 4-2 ATS at home. However, the Cowboys thrive as underdogs when they’re ATS in December. The Cowboys are 7-3 in those games.
