Check out the team capsules and pick against the spread for the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl!
Bowl season is in full swing, with roughly a quarter of the games done. That still leaves me more than 30 picks to try and stay above .500. It could be a challenge with the way this bowl season has started!

5. A lock. I am comfortable making a sizable wager on this game.
4. Very confident. Not quite a lock, but I am comfortable making a decent sized wager on it.
3. Middle of the road. Good enough that I would make a small wager on it.
2. Could go either way. So much so that I wouldn’t bet on it.

Record vs. bowl teams: 3-5
Middle Tennessee’s offense was unstoppable early in the year, but once they got into better competition, they started to struggle. Their defense was also torched by good passing teams like Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech. They gave a fight to Illinois, but couldn’t hang with Alabama. There is no shame in that. No many can.
Western Michigan got their share of yards against two of the best defenses in the Big Ten(14) in Ohio State and Michigan State. That said, they were never in the game against the Buckeyes and fell behind Michigan State in the fourth quarter.
On paper, this looks like a pretty good matchup. but I don’t think Middle Tennessee State can handle Corey Davis and Daniel Braverman. Both of those guys might have an NFL future. So long as Zach Terrell can get it to them, the Broncos shouldn’t have much trouble in this one.
My pick: Western Michigan
