Washington Redskins 2016 schedule.

Almost everybody expected the Washington Redskins to finish dead last in the NFC East. We expected that Jay Gruden would be getting fired somewhere around the BYE week and Robert Griffin III would be telling us why it was not his fault that he threw 30 interceptions in only four starts.

Instead, Washington was able to win the NFC East. Certainly, the Redskins were helped out by the fact that the Dallas Cowboys sustained a ridiculous amount of injuries, including to Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. Washington finished the campaign 9-7 and will be hosting an NFC Wild Card game. With all the success of 2015, though, comes a much tougher 2016. Here is who Washington will play and where…

At FedEx Field, the Redskins are playing a litany of tough teams. Washington will host the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. While the road schedule is not quite as ugly, Washington will need to improve in all phases if it wants to win the postseason again.

Regardless, the Redskins should be very happy about the way this year has played out. With a nice draft and some good moves in free agency, the Redskins could be competing for another postseason spot.
