LeBron James shoves Stephen Curry to the ground (Video)

LeBron James got a little too physical with Stephen Curry, shoving him to the ground on Monday night

The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off on Monday night in a rematch of the 2015 NBA Finals and rematch of one of the marquee Christmas Day games. With two of the NBA’s best teams going at it, tensions were always going to be incredibly high among the players. When the Warriors and Stephen Curry jumped out to a big lead early on, though, LeBron James got a little too frustrated with the way things were going and handled it a bit too physically.

While LeBron was setting a screen on Curry out on the perimeter, the two perennial MVP candidates got locked up for a second. However, James let his emotions get the best of him as the King then shoved Curry to the ground:

There’s definitely quite a bit of flopping that goes on in the NBA and Curry is no exception to that epidemic—however, this isn’t one of those instances. LeBron pretty clearly extends his arms and takes Curry all the way to the ground with his shove.

It’s incredibly rare that we see emotions get the best of LeBron like this, but it certainly seems like that’s the case in this instance. As if the Warriors already didn’t have a mental edge over the Cavs after last year’s Finals, it’s pretty clear by how James acted here that Golden State is in the driver’s seat in this matchup.
