Kristaps Porzingis is wrecking everyone in the NBA, Russell Westbrook now included after a huge block on Tuesday night

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is pretty widely regarded around the NBA as one of the most aggressive, emphatic, and powerful guards in the league. This is always best displayed when Westbrook is attacking the rim. However, even Russ never stood a chance against the deity known as New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis.

Late in the fourth quarter as the Knicks and Thunder faced off in Madison Square Garden, Westbrook drove to the rim hard and then tried to get crafty to finish around Porzingis. However, the 7-3 Latvian was having none of it as he so emphatically blocked Westbrook that he essentially just took the ball out of Russ’ hands while they were both in the air:

Porzingis has reels and reels of highlights at this point, even with it only being halfway through his first season in the NBA. However, this might be one of his more impressive feats yet. Westbrook isn’t the type of player that gets blocked all that often—if ever at all—and Porzingis did it on this play with authority and ease.

It might be time to just go ahead and admit it to yourself if you’re an NBA fan that Kristaps Porzingis is going to be the greatest basketball player ever. At this point in his career, anything but that outcome would seem like a disappointment.
