A petition started to fire Mike Milbury from NBCSN has reached well over 10,000 signatures
Mike Milbury has long been one of the most hated NHL analysts by fans across the league. He is infamous for his clueless rants and insensitivity regarding sensitive subjects. The most recent target of his rants is All-Star game MVP John Scott.
During the 2016 All-Star weekend coverage on NBCSN, Milbury mocked John Scott and fans who voted him as the Pacific Division captain. A fan decided that enough is enough and started a Change.org petition to have him fired.
It has since gotten over 10,000 signatures.
From Change.org:
"Former NHL player, coach, general manager and current NBC Sports Network desk analyst Mike Milbury has proved time in and time out that he is unfit to do his job properly. His rude and demeaning matter has not only made many of the NBCSN Intermission reports significantly less enjoyable but has also caused many of the fans to call for a change, something that NBC has failed to do. Please do the fans, players, media personalities and John Scott a favor by signing this petition to remove the embarrassment that is Milbury from NBC Sports Network entirely, thank you."
Milbury is a former NHL player who is perhaps best known for assaulting a fan with his shoe. NBC Sports Network has some bad analysts like Pierre McGuire and Jeremy Roenick but at least they are respectful to the game of hockey and willing to admit that they are wrong when they are wrong. Milbury, for all intents and purposes, is just a disgrace.
