Isaiah Thomas hits ridiculous floater (Video)

Isaiah Thomas continues to do what he does, hitting ridiculous floaters over bigger defenders.

The Boston Celtics are having a great year. Currently the C’s find themselves firmly in second place in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Second place in the Atlantic Division slates the Celtics as the current third best team in the Eastern Conference. Firmly in the playoffs.

This years Celtics squad is led by second year coach Brad Stevens, and emerging stud and first time All-Star, Isaiah Thomas. Thomas has had a killer year shooting 42% from the floor and 34% from deep. Thomas manages to put up these solid numbers, even while standing at a mere 5’9 (according to the stat sheet, which is normally an inflated number, keep in mind.) This leads to more than his fair share of trick shots. As he showed, once again, against the Portland Trail Blazers.

How in the world does a guy get floaters like this to go in? Thomas had to throw the ball into the rafters to get it over the defender coming to block his shot attempt. Getting the correct height and angle for shots like this to go in, is insanity. Pure insanity.

No doubt that shots like this are what made Thomas a first time All-Star selection this season, but no matter how many times we see Thomas do something like this, it wows us just as much. The next time you think your contested fade away over a 6’1 guy makes you Michael Jordan, remember what Isaiah Thomas is out here doing on a nightly basis.
