Gareth Bale crosses to Benzema who finishes for his 250th senior level goal.

While Benzema’s success is often times overlooked by his counterpart Ronaldo’s success, Benzema’s 250th goal will not be overlooked. After Bale sent in a cross from the flank, Benzema finished first time to put Real Madrid up 1-0 over Sevilla.

This is the first game that Benzema, Ronaldo and Bale have all played since early January and they started their goal scoring early with this finish from the Frenchman. The 28 year old starting his goal scoring at the senior level at French club Lyon, scoring 66 goals.

He has scored 157 goals for Real Madrid and 27 for his national team. Although this is a grand achievement, 250 goals is almost small compared to Cristiano Ronaldo’s total of 531 goals all time.

But this goal and achievement shall not be overlooked. Not only because 250 goals is, relative to the average or good player, is an extremely great achievement. But it was also a great goal. For Benzema to finish after the hop on the cross is a different level.

It is a difficult volley to put on target, much less put in the back of the net. Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo are finally back on the field together for the first time since January and they have started right where they left off scoring goals.
