Reports say that Manchester United offered Zlatan Ibrahimovic a $36 million contract.

Earlier this month, Zlatan declared that unless Paris replaced the Eiffel Tower with a statue of himself, he would be leaving in the summer transfer window. Although unsure where he would go, his statement made it a done deal that he would leave PSG behind after leading them to four straight Ligue 1 titles.

China, MLS, Premier League and others were all options for the 34 year-old Swedish forward. Ibra has proven himself to be a dominant force throughout the world, everywhere except England.

According to the Daily Star in the United Kingdom, Manchester United virtually ousted Arsenal and Chelsea by offering the forward a mega contract in the latter years of his playing career.

Zlatan still has a couple good years left in him though. Just last week the forward scored two goals in the Champions League round of 16 to send Chelsea home with an empty season.

The contract would keep Zlatan in Manchester for two years, paying him $375,000 a week. If he signs, it is likely that Louis Van Gaal will be gone, seeing as in they didn’t work so well together in 2004 at Ajax.

Ibra, who scored 35 goals this season in all competitions, would join forces with English forward Wayne Rooney and young guns Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. The addition would be a great one for a Manchester United team that could use a spark in the attacking third. Jose Mourinho holds Zlatan in high regard, which could raise the Red Devils’ chances of bringing him in even higher this summer.
